Brindha Cotton Mills Private Limited, a manufacturer of cotton and synthetic yarns based in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, approached Kenstone Credit on 15 May 2026. The company's CMR stood at 7 — and for a business that number is no abstraction: most banks gate working-capital decisions around CMR 5, so despite being an operating, revenue-generating company, Brindha Cotton Mills could not secure the loans it needed. The director also wanted the freedom to shift banks for better terms — something a CMR 7 makes practically impossible. When the case was handed to me, the objective was clear: find out whether the rank reflected the company's real repayment behaviour, or errors in the record.
Two Axis Bank accounts, incorrectly marked delinquent. Reviewing the account history with the client made clear the delinquency status did not reflect the true position. I raised disputes on both accounts immediately and sent a formal request to Axis Bank seeking correction and clearance of the delinquency status — then followed the disputes through rather than waiting on the bureau's clock.
An HDFC Bank account — dues cleared, bureau never updated. I kept monitoring the report after the first disputes were filed, and around 25 May identified a third issue: a delinquent HDFC account whose dues the client had already cleared, with the bureau records never updated. This is one of the most damaging patterns in company reports — the client pays, and the record silently keeps punishing them. I raised a separate dispute with supporting details and tracked it alongside the Axis corrections.
Upon successful clearance of all three delinquent entries, the company's profile improved significantly — and quickly.
A CMR rank computed from wrong data punishes a company for behaviour it never exhibited. Two things decided this case: treating the analysis as an investigation rather than a formality — the Axis accounts explained the rank, but continued monitoring surfaced the already-paid HDFC account that would have quietly capped the recovery — and following every dispute to verified closure, not just filing it. Fifteen days is not a promise we make to any client; every case is different, and we say so. But when a rank is held down by errors, correct the record and the rank follows. As the director puts it below: “Now it's easy for me to shift banks and ask them for lower interest rates.” Published with the client's written consent.
1:00Hi, this is Vishnu Raja from Brinda Cotton Mills, based out of Tamil Nadu. We are manufacturers of cotton and other synthetic yarns. About a month ago, I wanted to shift banks, and our CIBIL scores were very low. So I got in touch with Kenstone and their team, Akshata and Cabrini. They were very professional and they gave me a detailed road map of how this is going to be done. And we actually started work around the 15th of May, and today is the 1st of June, and our CIBIL scores have been improved from 9 to a CIBIL score of 5. This is a big change, and now it's easy for me to shift banks and, you know, ask them for lower interest rates and all that. So I would highly recommend to get in touch with Kenstone for all your CIBIL related work. Thanks, bye.
